Job Descriptions:
Survey Instrument Man (2 years experience) and Rodman (no experience needed/will train)
East Central Florida Site Contractor based in New Smyrna Beach, FL is seeking high energy, self-motivated and experienced Survey Instrument Man and Rodman to join a team of career and quality minded individuals for challenging projects.
Work schedule is customarily Monday – Friday, flexibility to adjust to specific project demands are desired
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA/NSPS, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients
- Knowledge of Total Station, topcon GPS equipment w/ Topcon FC5000 data collector
- Drive stakes, iron rods as points of reference
- Cut line of sight for survey lines
- Learn to set-up and operate survey equipment, including total-station, data-collector, level, and GPS
Other Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to work outside in all seasons
- Valid Driver’s license
- Must pass drug screen
- Applicant must be organized, punctual, and accountable
- Minimum 2 years Experience required
The primary work area is Volusia and Flagler County. We perform work from Edgewater to Palm Coast and as far West as Sanford. The majority of our current projects are in Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach, and Deland. Salary is negotiable based on experience. Heavy Equipment Operator
East Central Florida Site Contractor based in New Smyrna Beach, FL is seeking high energy, self-motivated and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join a team of career and quality minded individuals for challenging projects.
Work schedule is customarily Monday – Friday, flexibility to adjust to specific project demands as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment for any of the following: pipe laying, excavation, earthmoving, grading, roadway construction, and fine grading.
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment being operated (shovel tracks, clean out cab etc.)
Other Requirements
- Must be experienced in the operation of any earth-moving equipment that includes, but is not limited to: skid steer, backhoe, dozer, excavator, grader, roller, etc. Experience using GPS machine control preferred
- Must be able to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
- Must meet expectations for attendance
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel from time to time
- Must have a basic understanding of grades and slopes, project layout, and sequence.
- Must have 3-years minimum experience in equipment operation for similar construction work or be a recent graduate of technical school.
