FULL TIME AND PART TIME

Scope: To provide those residents participating in an Assisted Living service plan assistance with the activities of daily living in a dignified, compassionate manner while encouraging as much independence as possible. The Assisted Living service plans will be written within the parameters of community policies and licensure, as well as within state regulatory guidelines.

ExperiencePrefer minimum 6 months of experience in assisted living or skilled care environment; excellent customer service skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively with team members.

CertificationMust obtain CNA or HHA within 6 months of hire. Basic First Aid and CPR within 60 days of hire. Obtain Dementia Certificate within 60 days from date of hire. (We will help you).

Essential Job Functions:

  • Assist resident with eating (e.g. by plating meals, cutting meat into smaller pieces, positioning food within their range of vision, assisting with condiments, escorting to the dining room); maintain a simple, consistent mealtime routine.
  • Assist residents with hair care, shaving, and mouth care to promote their self-image and good appearance.
  • Assist residents with dressing by encouraging their selection of clothing, ensuring the cleanliness of clothing, providing hands-on assistance with those aspects of dressing which the resident cannot safely manage for his/herself.
  • Assist residents with bathing (whether in a tub, shower, or bed) by providing a safe environment, ensuring their privacy, and protecting their modesty at all times.
  • Assist resident with ambulation by encouraging consistent use of walking aids (cane, walker, corrective shoes), escort resident to and from their destination, and educate resident on fall prevention measures.
  • Assist resident with toileting by establishing a consistent toileting schedule, provide verbal reminders to the toilet, escorting to the bathroom if necessary, encouraging a diet with plenty of fluids and fiber, and providing assistance with use of incontinence undergarments.
  • Document in the residents’ health records regarding delivered services, changes in health condition, the occurrence of incidents, and other pertinent health-related matters for each resident.
  • Participate in community activities or special events; encourage residents’ involvement in activities and events.
  • Assist with mealtime service in the dining room to include serving meals, clearing tables, resetting tables, and any other related duties as required.

LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Job Description

We currently have openings for overnight and evening shift LPNs.

  • Pay ranges from $21 per hour to $23 per hour based upon experience.

Position Specifics:

EducationLPN license in Florida, Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise, as well as participate in, the delivery of services outlined in each Assisted Living service plan.
  • Monitor medication administration and complete documentation of such monitoring as outlined in the state regulations. Order, receive, store and document such activities in a timely manner.
  • Document in the residents’ health records regarding delivered services, changes in health condition, occurrence of incidents, and other pertinent health related matters for each resident.
  • Provide supervision and training to the Wellness Associates; contribute to performance review and counseling efforts as requested by the Wellness Director.
  • Ensure all associates understand and adhere to company policies and procedures; conduct in-service programs as needed.

Working Environment / Physical Duties:

  • Assisted Living community common areas and resident apartments primarily.
  • Requires extensive use of arm, hands, fingers, legs, and back.
  • Frequently reach, push, or pull with arms & hands.
  • Frequently stand or walk for 0-3 hours at one time throughout an 8-hour day.
  • Occasionally sit for 0-2 hours at one time throughout an 8-hour day.
  • Frequently stoop, bend, kneel, climb, talk, see, and hear.
  • Frequently lift and/or carry 0-10 lbs. up to 30 yards.
  • Occasionally lift and/or carry 15+ lbs. up to 30 yards.
  • May be required to support/assist a resident’s full body weight.
